As you may have guessed from the logo up there, I'm Rich Van Horn.
I had a PC consulting business in a
northern Illinois town called Lake Zurich.
Now, I'm on a different lake: Table Rock! Hence the pseudonym(TRCC-Table Rock Computer Consulting).
I'm not nearly as formal as I used to be and
I'm not nearly as expensive as I used to be. In any case, I can help you in many ways
regarding most things about your PC and the World Wide Web.

I am a retired IBMer. I spent the last five years of my career working with the IBM PC.
I have always owned one. For the last nine years, while owning a resort down here,
I created five web sites (references available). I also taught a lot of classes when I was with IBM.

"Well, Rich, maybe. But I'm not a corporation or a big user."

My company in Illinois took on no one who had more than two computers. I don't do networking.
I'll get someone else to help you. I don't do fancy graphics or animation. I have someone for that also.
I don't do Apples or Macs but I can direct you to someone for those machines.
I feel that the PC has almost become a necessary machine in the household,
just like a washing machine, dryer, phone - they all make our life easier and better.
I also got some advice from an old IBMer - KISS! If it's easier to do it with paper and pencil, I'll tell you that too!

If I still have your attention, I'll make you a deal.
If you would like some assistance, I'll come to your house or small business.
I'll look it over, talk it over and let you know. What you have to do is
tell me what you want to do now and in the immediate future.
Then when we both decide that I am able to assist you, my clock will start.
If we decide that I can't assist you, I'm gone. Nothing.
My rates are flexible. I smoke and drink ice water when I work. If I can do those things at your place,
my rates will be very affordable, with some mileage charges over 10 miles.

Those pesky "cookies' on your system; 'How secure am I when on the WWW?';
'Is somebody monitoring what I'm looking at?' ("SpyWare"); Cut and Paste.

mailing labels, greeting cards, phone number and address lists, birthday and anniversary lists,
printing stamps (Yes, United States postage stamps!), digital cameras, budgets,
mortgages and loan amortizations, making those funny (½, ¼, ¾, ¢, °, è, ~, ñ) characters,
